Norma Talmadge | ||
Is this really Norma Talmadge's house? Hard to say, for Norma -- like her mother and sister Constance -- was more fond of New York than Hollywood. After all, she got her start at the Vitagraph Studios in Flatbush and where she continued to film most of her pictures. But Norma Talmadge was a big star, if not one of the biggest, and so a home in Los Angeles wouldn't have been out of the question. Regardless, this lovely Tudor home seems fitting for the woman who played the "brave, tragic, and sacrificing heroine, [with] lavish settings and beautiful clothes, and buckets of tears before the eventual redemption at the fadeout." |
